Carbs are one of the three macronutrients that make up your energy or calorie intake. It is recommended that 45-65% of the foods you eat should be from carbohydrates. Sources include fruits, vegetables, beans, and whole grains. 1 gram of carbs is equal to 4 calories. If you were to have a slice of bread with 15g of carbohydrates, that would mean 60 calories come from carbs. (15 X 4 = 60)
